I had trouble with connecting with windows 7 as well, even after creating rules for the UDP port 57110. How I got it to work was to go into the Advanced Settings under Windows Firewall, and under Inbound Rules listing, look for Java(TM) Platform SE binary. Odds are the action is set to "Blocked". If you double-click the name it opens and you can change this to "Allow". This should allow the app to work if you restart the jar file and app, though I'm not a computer geek and cant' tell you what possible repercussions could result from changing that block status.

Hope this helps!
